Our Ministry

PKHM (dba PKH) is the 501(c)(3) ministry of its founder, and Chief Ministry Officer, Dr. Ken Harmon. PKH did not start as a ministry but as a declaration. One early morning, while dealing with multiple physical ailments causing debilitating dysregulation, Ken heard a clear voice to "stop living wounded." Ken screamed out, "I am not living wounded, I am wounded and you're not helping." While Ken didn't understand it at the time, he came to understand that this message was to stop being a victim of his wounds (trauma). In other words, it's time to heal.

While Ken would love to say he was instantly healed like the invalid in John 5, he was not. [READ KEN'S STORY] It was, however, the beginning of his journey toward healing. This journey led to countless classes, seminars, and conferences on healing. It involved becoming a recovery participant to eventually being a recovery pastor. It involved hundreds of hours in counseling and spiritual formation. It involved him facing his greatest diagnosis, Complex PTSD. It now involves moving from learning to leading. It involved moving the message given to him, to one to now share with others. The message is this, despite your pains and wounds, "God is good and you have a purpose."

While the logo has gone through multiple variations, what has never changed is its message. The foundational scripture that anchors PKHM is Psalm 147:3 shares, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.  "The red dot represents Jesus sacrifice so that healing is possible built on "By His wounds, we are healed" found in Isaiah 53:5, and 1 Peter 2:24. The hand, in its presentation is universal for "stop." It is the central message of PKHM. Stop Living, Loving, and Leading wounded.

Originally the ministry's name, "Stop Living Wounded," added Stop Leading Wounded, and Stop Loving Wounded. As it proved difficult for branding clarity, PKHM became the "store" with Stop Living, Leading, and Loving Wounded became the ministry's departments and focus. With this pivot, each focus took on its own color to clearly distinguish and clarify it's purpose. This keeps the original red as a part of the original message.

COUPLE CARE

Relationships don’t fall apart because two people are unlovable—they fracture because two people keep loving from unhealed places.
